I encountered and ate at the Villa Basque Cafe while on a day trip to Carson City from Reno. The food there was fantastic!!!!!; the servings were generous. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Waitstaff was very helpful, and both staff and customers were very friendly. That in itself made for "good ambiance"

Outstanding breakfast. Really fast service. A whole case full of chorizo and cheese. What else do you even need? This is our go to breakfast and lunch place in Carson.

I love Pete's. Greatest chorizo in Northern Nevada and do I ever love their sheepherd cheese burger. I split it with my daughter and even with just half, I can rarely finish. But, it's fabulous reheated at home. I love the tamed jalapeño on it as well as the beef AND chorizo patties. Superb!!! Service is always old school and perfect and as for ambiance, it's always about the people

Always tasty, the meat is the draw for me. Chorizo is out of this world, can't wait to eat more. And the service (not sure of her name but she's been there forever) is very authentic and quick. Many cool pictures of people who have made an impact on the community with the owner in them with himself Big plates, and lots of love put into them. I'm a huge fan, great ambiance, Carson City's finest. Nothing fancy but high quality food and we take a couple of packages of the chorizo back home with us.

We eat at Villa Basque Cafe frequently. The food is tasty and the staff are super friendly, like family. The Basque vibe is warm and welcoming and it's a popular choice for locals and rural out-of-towners alike. You can dine in, carry out, or just pop in to pick up some of their famous homemade chorizo. It's definitely a worthy choice if you're in the area.

I came to the Villa Basque Cafe specifically for their chorizo. We used their chorizo in a lot of our cooking. Their chorizo is the best and made there. It's been several years since I last visited, so I bought several hundred dollars of their chorizo so I can take it back to California. They also offered me samples of their goat cheese. I ended up buying some. If you love chorizo, this place is a "must stop."

For all the hype it was just okay. We went after an appointment in Carson and it was during the week so it was nice and quiet at this time. Our server was quiet and that's okay but it seemed he was slightly upset when we only ordered two burritos and an orange juice. My burrito was better with the diced ham since the ham chunks were nice and large and not too fatty. My bf said the burrito with the chorizo was a bit much and caused indigestion all day. I did like the size of the burrito and also the salsa that it was served with. Since most of their menu is all about Chorizo, I think I'm okay only eating here once.

If you're ever in Carson City, this is a pretty cool spot to go eat or just buy meats! Villa Basque Cafe, has delicious meals as well as amazing deli cuts like Portuguese sausage! I recently went to have breakfast and had the Basque Chorizo dish. It was very good and tasty! The taste was very fresh and the Portuguese chorizo was nice and spicy. I've only tried this dish as I've been here before, but everything looked and smelled amazing. I also ordered a cafe mocha which came out quick and tasted great with the meal! The service is amazing, where they immediately attend to you and you feel like family. The ambiance is a casual, plenty of tables, but be warned this place is popular so you may have to wait for some tables as it gets busy. The parking is plenty as there is a lot where you can park for free and the price is very reasonable. This place also offers sausage and meat cuts you can buy to go, which is a little taste of old world basque shops. It's a must try and I definitely look forward to going and trying new dishes!

I'm shocked I have review this place sooner as it was a staple in my first pregnancy, which means I ate here at least 2-3 times a month. It wasn't quite as I remembered, but as a self proclaimed B&G snob, this is THE BEST in our area. I order the same thing every time and you can't stop me. I order the Spuds & Biscuit, add chorizo and I am never disappointed. It's a busy vibe on a weekend, but I'm always sat immediately. It's family owned and have had the same staff since I begin this B&G experience. I'm always recognized (pregnant or not) and everyone is always so kind. I could write 1,000 reasons why I like this place and drive to Carson for it, but I'll let you try it for yourself. :)
